channaQ: Can anyone explain why the road from the Beitar intersection until the northern Efrat entrance has been utterly pitch black for weeks now?
A: Arabs stole the transformer that controls those lights. It used to sit atop an electric tower by the junction. It was told that this transformer's price is approximately 50,000 NIS but could have been stolen for it's metal value as well. Stealing such an item takes just about an hour or so, but decisions regarding replacing it and/or how to protect it in the future may be months in planning and meetings.
И еще, если кто еще не в курсе, с завтрашнего дня на три месяца закрывается южный въезд в Эфрат. Въезжать можно будет через северный въезд либо через объездную дорогу через Эльазар.
Для тремпистов, как я, это большое огорчение.
